Support the Creation of Newtown Plaza

Hey you walking up 30th Ave! Feeling overcrowded? Like theres not enough space to sit down, stretch out? how 'bout outdoor art markets, or street fairs? Would'nt it be great to have a street venue for the pedestrian in the heart of Astoria?  For the past 4 years AM&A (in Assosiation with Make Music New York) have closed off a prime section of Newtown Ave off of 30th ave and 33rd st for an anual summer solstice block party. What we've affectionatly dubbed as Athens Triangle is now within our grasp of becoming a perminant home for a pedestrian walk space. This new space will be called the Newtown Plaza and will be very similar to that of the one in Times Square.  This cannot happen without YOUR SUPPORT!  To show your support for the creation of this outdoor space simply show up in numbers 7pm to the Astoria Manor on Sept. 11 when this issue is brought up to our local Community Board.  Feel empowered, make a difference in your Astoria, HELP MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
