You can't miss out when we go back to the Astoria Brewhouse this Saturday for the anniversary party of two of our most beloved hometown bands -
Bliminal & Illimanjaro
with special guests Deep Sound Diver and Freedomhead
and hosted by the never-not-entertaining James Call.
In case you forgot, the Astoria Brewhouse is our newest venue and it's as shiny and beckoning as it ever was - located on 31st Street @ 30th Ave (right next door to the train station).
Doors open at 8 and it'll cost you $5 to get in 
but all the proceeds (minus band cab fare) will go towards funding our free outdoor music and arts festival Astoria Music Now! so, it's totally worth it.

If every day were as terrible as Tuesday you might be a lot better off (shockingly).  Our weekly open mic is still going strong w/ $2 drink specials and a stage that's as forgiving as a well-worn mattress.

Astoria Music Now!

Today we spent the afternoon meeting with the head of the Local Community Board 1, Richard Kahudami and Frank, operations manager of Astoria Park scouting locations in Astoria Park. The beautiful sunny day was just a reminder July 24th will be here before we know it. Get ready Queens, for the best Festival so far!

Monday March 15th, 2010 Tonight brings us another Manic Monday w/ JAMES CALL, LIAM BAUM & BUDGET CUT BEAR at the Quays (starting at 8p) 

Tomorrow delivers the return of TERRIBLE TUESDAY with all the usual awfuls chomping at the bit to reveal themselves anew at the Shillelagh Tavern (starting at 9 - w/ $2 beers) 

And we've got some good ol' fashioned Irish folk music for you purists on St. Patty's Day - (Wednesday) @ the Shillelagh Tavern - with MILO SWIGGINS and a FREE BUFFET from 7-9p
